MCAAA 2012 Legislative Conference and Community Action Awards
Our annual legislative conference will be held at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Lansing, March 19-21. On Monday, March 19, the schedule includes the continuation of MCAAA's Leadership Development Institute for an all day session and late afternoon committee meetings. The agenda on Tuesday, March 20, will include a breakfast presentation by political reporter Susan J. Demas, and sessions on lobbying vs. advocacy, database interconnectivity, an overview of the Michigan Benefits Access Initiative, and visits to the State Capitol and legislative offices. We will also be holding our annual Community Action Awards celebration on Tuesday, with featured speaker Dr. Thomas G. Coon, director of the Michigan State University Extension.
