The Department of Human Services is seeking comment on the state plan for using federal Temporary Assistance to Needy Families funds. Among the changes in the plan are the definitions of hardship and identification requirements. The plan also includes the new 48-month limit on benefits and new sanctions for not meeting work requirements.
Comments are accepted through October 15 for the plan, which must be submitted to federal officials November 1 but is technically effective October 1.
