MCAAA is a membership organization for the 30 Community
Action Agencies (CAAs), which provide multiple human service programs in
all 83 counties throughout the State of Michigan. For more than 30
years, the members of MCAAA have served as advocates for low-income
individual and families. Our purpose is to support community action and
human service agencies through which low-income individuals and families
may achieve greater financial and personal independence through the
programs they offer, such as Head Start, Weatherization, Senor Services,
and Employment and Training Programs.
MCAAA offers a variety of programs which support the
work of CAAs. These include Quarterly Meetings each year to provide
workshops and seminars designed to enhance the effectiveness of CAA
staff, volunteers and board members.
Michigan CAAs are the largest human service network
outside of state government. We are committed to broadening economic
self-sufficiency through human service programs.
